ForgottenGold.com backs call for Regulation
Wednesday, 13 January 2010 - Written by Staff Reporter
"We've worked very hard to provide a high quality and accountable service. I would welcome the regulation of the industry as a whole."
ForgottenGold.com has been operating in Ireland for the past year, during which time the company has become the largest gold recycling service in Ireland.
Over the past 12 months there has been an exponential growth rate in the number of gold recycling companies in Ireland.
Mr Marren advises customers to treat their gold recycling like any other financial transaction, advising anyone thinking of selling their gold to "ensure they are dealing with a reputable company".
He advises customers to look into the company they are dealing with and to request a detailed receipt, with the breakdown of the gold recycle valuation. Reputable companies will be more than happy to give customers a written statement of the transaction on legitimate company headed paper, he says.
